Careers and Camp

The Scripture Union camp went ahead as planned at the end of April. The school managed to send 62 junior and secondary students and were joined by 300 other students from various schools. Almost all of the school’s prefects attended the camp with many of them elected as leaders of Bible study groups. It was a great time of Bible teaching, singing praises and fellowshipping for all in attendance.

Rosemary had the pleasure of taking 5 of the younger female teachers to a two day women’s business conference held at the Government Complex in Lusaka at the end of March. It offered the opportunity to be exposed to experienced business specialists who shared their knowledge and wisdom in the sector, It was an inspiring and empowering experience.

The highlight of the term was the careers day which saw students come to school dressed in the attire of their dream career. Students came dressed as doctors, engineers, pilots, pastors, security guards amongst others. The day involved drama and dance performances and culminated in a march by the students around the streets of Ng’ombe.

This month you can join us in praying for the following;

  • Continued wisdom and safety for the builders involved in the construction of the new school hall. Pray that the work will continue on track and that it will not suffer from delays

  • Pray for the unity between the staff and students as they work together on both academic and spiritual growth

  • Pray that the students who attended the Scripture Union camp will be on fire for the Lord and that they will share what the lessons they learnt on camp with their fellow students, family members and friends
